On the Design: This tribal rug is believed to represent a “Kohistani” design—a Persian term meaning “from the mountainous land” per its nomadic origins. Its multicolor hexagons enjoy playful colorway variations on a rust color field, and a keen eye will note intricate geometric patterns in similar colorways as well. Connoisseurs will admire it as an interesting piece of folk art with a whimsical sense of movement—a rich work of rustic old-world charm and country chic. Condition: This mid-century tribal rug enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Furthermore, its promotional price is in support of the women of Afghanistan.
