Handwoven in a wool flatweave originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, this vintage rug connotes a mid-century Kilim rug design of subtle rarity, drawing from classic traditional Kilim geometry to depict a very subdued Bessarabian Kilim sensibility in the marriage of transitional colorways. A rich red accent lends the tribal geometric pattern a more dynamic sense of movement to complement the play of rich-meets-quite beige-brown and pink hues prevailing in the field—a method reading tastefully in this graph and 8x13 size. Further enjoying pristine condition for a vintage Kilim rug of this period, essential to collectors and designers alike.
