Hand knotted in wool, this 9x12 contemporary rug “Sky” features geometric stripes, and is more emphatic of the gradation theme. On the Design:Admirers of the craft and keen eyes will note a take on gradation in this piece—a subtle yet tasteful element that makes such a comfortable, cozy piece also one of our most modern in its subtle quality. It’s a simple, yet fabulously evocative piece that speaks to the beauty of rugs as works of modern art—both a smart, sophisticated choice and naturally a comfortable, neutral option in its tones and sensibility. Connoisseurs will further admire the fabulous play of white and black geometric stripes and gradation and positive-negative elements that use the limited palette and subtlety beautifully.
