Hand-knotted in wool from Turkey circa 1960-1970, a mid-century modern deco rug joining Rug & Kilim's commemorative mid-century Pasha collection. Honoring the collected works of a bold Turkish artist of this period, this eclectic 5'3" x 8'10" design marries layered geometry and floral patterns in a unique modern fashion. The play of beige-brown, creamy yellow & green brings shabby elegance appeal in color, texture & pattern, and dimensionality way ahead of its period. Enjoying artist's influences from mid-century modern European art seldom seen in a rug of this era, light & refreshing piece idyllic for an array of projects.
