This antique traditional Mahal wool rug from Rug & Kilim originates from India between 1910-1920 and bears a unique resemblance to many Shahrestan pieces in origin. Featuring both a large format and large drawing, like many Mahal pieces the wool is more finely woven than most oriental rugs. These royal blue and tan-gold colors have light patina and mild distress, though the curvilinear vine and leaf scroll patterns in the border are in pristine condition.
