Originating from India, this new traditional-style agra rug from Rug & Kilim employs a unique group of colourways with a distinct antique design. Made with high quality cotton, the all over field design is that of the Herati, or “Mahi fish” style, a traditional, often geometric portrait with soaring florals and lancet leaves from the center to the corners of the field. Said to be an omen of good luck, Herati patterns are very individualistic in color, and this particular design enjoys an uncommon openness to the cream-beige field while emphasized by the yellow leaves, blue blossoming flowers, and rich red and forest green borders; complemented by mirrored fringes.
