Originating from India, this geometric rug is hand knotted in quality, textural wool pile with a distinctly asymmetric geometric design. The field design employs both full and finely woven horizontal lines leading into the beige and brown patchwork patterns, as well as the mirrored vertical guar borders against the Abrash, luminous tawny brown background. The more textural, bold asymmetric patterns are complemented by the more vibrant hues of blue, gray, beige, and orange in the finite squares alternating the horizontal gridwork, lending an inviting balance to the earth toned portrait.
