Handmade in wool and originating circa 1920-1930, this 3x5 rug is a rare and exciting new curation in collection of antique hooked rugs. On the Design: Admirers of the craft will appreciate this piece as one of the most spacious rugs we’ve curated from this style, with equally gorgeous and unique geometric medallions and cubist patterns for this craft. Connoisseurs will appreciate this among some of the richest, most collectible works of folk art and among the earliest forms of American folk art in our field—an exemplar of folksy charm and art as much as an accent rug, from a distinguished weaving tradition of Americana with vast design applications today. Condition: This antique hooked rug further enjoys an overall good condition for its age and origin, with some mild wear and pulling in minor places throughout the field.
