This vintage 4x6 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.Further on the Design:This Art Deco rug from the artist’s rare series enjoys a bold union of red and black, and sharp brushstroke patterns in the corners. The distinct color is matched only by the subtle, but flawless sense of diagonal symmetry that creates this modern look so ahead of its time. Connoisseurs will admire this as a collectible from Müren’s distinguished works, and an exemplar of his iconic, graphic aesthetic. It’s rare to see such an artisan look and feel sit so naturally in a shabby elegance, distressed texture as well. A striking piece among his finest works. Further on the Condition:This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby elegance lineage. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.
