The feel of it I thought would be softer. But it's rough like jute. The color too is more vibrant on the computer, in person it's a dull Red. This is gold if you are looking for rugged handmade double sided rug. I thought it will be smooth but now growing to love it for the workmanship.

This rug is beautiful. More so than the photo, however colors represented in the photo are true to the actual colors. I love a flat weave rug for many reasons. Looks as nice on either side. Seems are well done and smooth. The flat weave will last much longer. No shedding from the start and as it is a wool rug, though not as soft as a pile cut, this particular flat weave rug feels nice to walk on.
