This rug smells like mildew. It is not filling the whole room with the smell, but it is noticable. Once the weather warms up, I am going to try heating it out in the sun and then cleaning it. Also, this rug has no grey in it. The colors are cool-toned cream and brown. I dont mind this difference. The pattern is lovely.
