This is a beautiful rug. It has a thick yet firm feel when walked on. The downside is that it does shed a lot. I have followed the recommendations on vacuuming by not using the beater bar, yet it continues to shed. So while it is beautiful the shedding is an issue and its been several weeks now It just arrived, so I can’t say how it will hold up over time
