This is a terrific fireplace runner, covering the base of my propane fueled fireplace and the area of chimney stone with is about 8" to 10" on each side. It has a neutral, clean vibe, and my dogs love laying on the new rug when it's cool in the evening and we have the propane (gas) fireplace on to take off the evening chill.
