Hand tufted means yarn is punched through a backing by hand with a tufting tool, then secured with a latex backing, which gives a dense, even pile at a lower price than a knotted rug. The pile is about 1/2 inch thick. Sizes in this listing: 6' round and 5' x 8'. The round sizes fit entryways and sit under a round table, while the rectangles anchor larger rooms. Made in India.
