An introduction to master rug weaving from India. The design is revivals of Agra patterns. What distinguishes the handwoven Agra patterns, are the large floral palmettes. The new innovation of this rug is the texture and colors. The antique effect in the rug is achieved with a combination of the finest quality spun wool together with a simple soap wash and new contemporary colors. The wool is from a mixture of native India wool and New Zealand wool. The wool in the rug retains their natural lanolin, which one can feel by hand, in the pile.
