This is an introduction to master rug weaving from India. This design is revivals of Agra patterns from the Oriental Mughul Period. What distinguishes these hand-knotted Agra patterns are the large floral palmettes. The new innovation of this rug collection is the texture and colors. The antique effect in these rugs is achieved with a combination of the finest quality spun wool together with a simple soap wash and new contemporary colors. The wool is from a mixture of native Indian wool and New Zealand wool. The wool in these rugs retains its natural lanolin which one can feel by hand in the pile.
