The Antique East Turkestan Khotan Wide Gallery Size Wool Rug is a genuine early 20th-century textile originating from East Turkestan circa 1935. This hand-knotted piece features a beautifully faded rose-pink field, a hallmark of period Khotan weaving, accented by a central oval medallion in soft cream and tan. The composition includes stylized geometric motifs, traditional pomegranate clusters, and auspicious emblems outlined in rich brown. Its elongated rectangular format makes it an ideal choice for hallways or entryways. Crafted with a durable wool pile and a 0.5-inch pile height, this rug showcases a complex border system with meander patterns and cloud bands. This antique artifact blends Central Asian traditions with imperial Chinese design elements to provide historical depth and sophisticated color to any interior space.
