This Vintage European Influenced Green Floral Medallion Silk Chinese Rug is a luxurious room-sized piece hand-knotted in China during the 1980s. Crafted with a pure silk foundation and pile, it features a luminous ivory ground that showcases a large central medallion in deep forest green with rose and beige accents. The design reflects a sophisticated European influence, incorporating intricate scrolling acanthus leaves and delicate floral sprays. Low relief carving and subtle color shifts provide a three-dimensional quality to the pattern, while the silk material offers a beautiful drape and light-reflecting sheen. With a 0.5-inch pile height, this rectangular rug is ideal for grand living areas or formal dining rooms, offering a timeless aesthetic that bridges traditional elegance with modern design palettes.
