Designed by John Caldwell, Mosaic is a welcome addition to the Foundation's collection. The natural durability of Ipe timber allows it to withstand both extreme weather and wear for a lifetime of outdoor ease. Ipe timber displays a sophisticated, chocolate brown color that can be maintained with minimal care yet may also be permitted to develop a silver patina that reveals its inherent beauty.

This table is crafted from solid distressed teak wood that showcases natural characteristics in the timber, such as knots, checking, and other irregularities.

Robust organic formed teak root tops rest over metal bases with a colonnade of delicate metal rods mounted to circular rings. The table tops are made from natural teak roots, and each piece is unique to the tree from which it was harvested. The shape of the tops will vary from piece-to-piece, and the dimensions listed are noting the approximate size. Furniture and upholstery appearances can vary and are not guaranteed due to the inherent variation of all natural materials, including wood color, wood grain, leather, and stone material and finish.

Panels of solid teak root are laminated to create a mosaic look against beautiful natural graining, shaped into a round pedestal-style outdoor end table. Cover or store indoors during inclement weather and when not in use.

The indigenous color of teak is light brown. With age, the patina turns to an elegant silver tone. The custom dark graphite finish is designed to blend with either color tone beautifully. If you choose to oil the teak, it will retain its original color. If you prefer for it to age naturally, the silver-tone offers an extremely sophisticated look.

Tuscany solid wood side table is made from solid, distressed teak wood. Natural features in the wood such as knots, checking and other imperfections are some of the characteristics that give these tables their rustic qualities. A beautiful finish is hand applied. If left uncovered, the finish will start to wear away after a season of use. Once it wears away, exposing unfinished teak to the elements, the furniture will begin to acquire the beautiful gray patina that is typical of untreated teak.

Nice heavy table but the finish is not appropriate for a piece of outdoor furniture. We have it on a covered, screen porch and the first time it got a little wet it left stains on the rug. Finish is rough and collects everything and soon begins to mildew. We have other Kingsley Bate pieces that don’t have any problems, just the ones with this finish.. John. Fort Mill, SC.
