I received this bench on June 3, 2023. My husband and I worked together to construct it. I was very disappointed to find in the instructions that it is to be constructed with small dowel pegs. No screws are included. The instructions tell u that if a dowel breaks off while u are using a rubber mallet to hammer it in then u need to use a 1/8 drill bit to drill that one out and insert another one. I would have rather the manufacturer design this bench with screws as part of the construction which would have provided more strength and stability. However, we decided to give it a try and we began to construct it. Several dowels broke and I had to do as the instructions noted. It seems to be fairly tight together at this point but I will be monitoring it as time goes by. I applied a coat of Teak Oil to it and it brings out the beautiful grains and color. The teak quality is good, it is clear and without know. However, I wish the bench is of heavier weight. Another thing is that the curve of the two arms always accumulate the rain water, which is not ideal. But over all the bench is not bad. I expect it to last long, many years, I hope.. Jo. NY.
