I just had the Wearstler Esker Envelope Sconce installed as an uplight. It is a great size. The finish is quite dark, which I like, because it works great with my Sun Valley Bronze charcoal switch covers...however, I find the light source itself a tad lacking. It reads a bit too "fluorescent" and the fixture has no internal light settings. I installed with a dimmer which I feel is a must because you can warm up the light a tad. I would not call the finish on this lantern a dark brass. To me, this implies a goldish undertone and it is in actuality a grayblack finish. I also wish the candle sleeves weren’t cheap looking white plastic. I will try to find a metal option to replace them.
