Extra Tall (Over 24") Ivory Planters

An abstract shape drawn by the upper edge and yet an overall inferior outline which appears to be geometric, although flowing from side to side, but never seeming to join, something that catches interest. An ordinary vertical outline holds the object within its own identity. Its overall stretched cartoon-like appearance symbolizes journeys through space at light speed. The fascination is contained in its contrast of a simultaneous unity, yet inner conflict.

Loved the shape and the color, the area to place a plant only fits about a 8-9" plant pot, so its very tight, I would have loved a 12" opening to place pot in, keeping the outside the same. Its a great creative pot.. Pamela. Gilbert, AZ. Sat Mar 25 2023

Ancient Greek columns inform the clean lines of classical terra cotta planters. Adorned with arched details and glazed in ivory, the carefully crafted finish lends an organic feel to each rigid structure. The Noma collection, designed by Javier Mariscal for the Spanish brand Vondom, is a group of outdoor items. There was an aim to create a new typology of furniture by combining the functions of a flowerpot and an outdoor table, and thus Noma was born, a collection characterized by its originality and versatile nature. By asking the question “how do we sit down?” three different versions arose that could be adapted into three different environments: one for a chill-out scene, Low, completed with a very comfortable pouf out of the same collection; another to be used when seated in a chair or armchair, Medium; and another for a standing position or when sitting on a stool, High, ideal for the pleasure of enjoying a cup of wine outdoors. The first sketches showed natural shapes, which as the project developed leaned towards more architectural shapes that call to mind a column with a capital or a corbel.

Plastic loves to flow, to be amorphous. They too are amorphous so the relationship is symbiotic. The results are organic forms that softly merge in and out of flat, smooth surfaces.
