I ordered 2 of these planters to flank my front entry steps (Alpine Stone color). They are exactly as described and heavy enough that they won't blow over in the strong winds that we have been experiencing. I plan on planting desert type succulent plants in them, as I don't want to put them on drip irrigation. I ordered on a Saturday and they were delivered, free of delivery charges, the following Saturday via Fed Ex Ground. Perigold is the best!. Brenda. TX. Tue Apr 05 2022

I love how lightweight these are and how easy they are to move around. The only concern our client had was whether or not they would get damaged easily because they are a softer foam feel. So far they have taken well to being moved around their pool patio and have been very sturdy.. Jordan. Braselton, GA. Tue Dec 03 2024

Their glazed and terracotta pottery is high fired between 990 (terracotta) and 1000 (glazed) degrees centigrade to ensure frost resistance and durability. Due to the processes used in the manufacturing of their hand-made and hand-glazed containers, all variations with respect to firing, color, size, and crackling are natural occurrences in the manufacturing process. The glazes on their containers consist of natural, not chemical, components and therefore the final color of the product will vary. This process creates the unique beauty of each piece.

The master Eero Aarnio creates his first piece for Vondom. It is, without doubt, a unique element due to its amusing and symbolic design, Peacock Collection. Just as its creator describes, peacocks were part of his childhood, even though their country of origin is very far from Finland. Eero´s home was very close to the Helsinki zoo, which is located on an island where the peacocks, which were imported from India, were free to roam freely since they could not fly away due to their bad flying skills. The peacocks in the zoo both fascinated and scared Eero because when they fanned their tails they were bigger than him. Such memories are the inspiration for the creation of this new plant pot with much symbolism for Eero, who naturally named it “Peacock”, bringing about a reunion with this figure from his childhood. Vondom admires the iconic and timeless creations of Eero Aarnio.

It’s an eye catching planter to be certain.. Dana. Kansas City, MO. Sun Mar 26 2023

Place this garden planter just outside a window and you can enjoy the flora that thrives even when inside.

Jerry. Kirkland, WA. Wed Aug 10 2022

In the winter, if a planter is to remain planted, they should be raised up off the ground making sure not to block the drainage hole. This allows the planter to drain and will prevent the planter from freezing to the ground. If the planter is not to be planted, it should be brought inside to a garage or shed. If this is not possible, follow the steps above, but turn the planter upside down to prevent it from filling with snow and ice. It should then be covered or wrapped with burlap or any absorbent material and then wrapped with dark plastic to prevent it from accumulating moisture.
