This bench is made from solid, distressed teak wood. Knots, checking, and other imperfections give each piece its own unique character - no two items are exactly alike. If left uncovered, the finish on the wood will wear away. Once the finish has worn off, exposing the unfinished teak to the elements, the wood will begin to acquire the patina that is typical of untreated teak.

This bench features elegant lines and stunning angles, capturing the beauty of dining outdoors. Combine with this armchair or side chair (sold separately) to create unique seating arrangements around the chic Dining table (sold separately). This bench could also be used as a stand-alone bench in any outdoor setting. This bench is made of the shore, a teak family wood that is more dense and heavy than teak. Shore requires no finishing and will not rot when left outdoors where rain and sun will damage other lesser quality woods. Left untreated, the shore will weather to a soft warm shade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. Sturdy mortise and tenon construction provides the highest quality joinery that will last for many years. The original color can be maintained by applying a seasonal coat of Australian timber oil (not included).
