The product is hand-made by skilled artisans and then high fired in kilns to provide you with a beautiful, durable finished product. The different finishes of terra cotta make each one unique. Terra cotta must be protected in the wintertime to prevent damage from freezing.

The color named taupe is the color of cement. The finishing is smooth but imperfections including a hole where light passes through, are noticeable. The weight is fine for the size. While the high firing temperature and quality of their material containers result in a durable and frost-resistant product, they still recommend that they are stored in a frost-free covered area in winter. If left outside, water may accumulate in the container and freeze, causing the planter to crack and break. Planters that must be left outside should be covered to prevent water, snow, and ice from accumulating inside the planter.

This set is hand-made by skilled artisans. Glazes are hand applied and then high fired for a product that is both beautiful and durable. Glazes can vary in colors and patterns depending on how they were applied and their position in the kiln, making each piece unique to itself.
