Ermelunden is a series of garden furniture designed by furniture architect Børge Mogensen in 1965. Mogensen was inspired by the forest area in Gentofte, close to where he lived. The bench set is intended as a stationary piece of furniture. For Mogensen, it was crucial that his furniture was functional. For this reason, it was no coincidence that he chose to equip the series with wide feet to prevent them from sinking into the grass. The soft cushion completes the bench set, allowing for comfortable seating—both with and without a backrest.
