The photo accurately portrays the birdbath. Its a little more shallow than I expected. No birds have used it as yet however since it is monsoon season, puddles abound. Maybe later this fall we will have bathers.

I wanted to find something made of material that would hold up to some rough treatment because my fat :-) birds knocked the terra cotta bird bath off the chain and it fell on a rock and broke in two. I was concerned about copper being too shiny. The trend today seems to be bright blue and other colors which didn't suit my natural garden sensibilities. Took a little while to find this and I went with the rubbed bronze because moss green was not available in oak leaf pattern. It's beautiful and blends well into the western landscape here. Note: It has smooth edges (nothing to "grab" with feet) so it may take a little time for some larger birds to figure out how to perch steadily on it but, mine figured it out relatively quickly.
