I expected a type griddle that requires seasoning with oil before using. This griddle actually states not to put oil on it directly. The recommendation is to put oil on the food. So far it has worked OK, but I will have to get used to not squirting some oil on the griddle. the real test will be durability and performace with a lot of different applications.
