Great portable bbq. Good size. Needs to get hotter

Excellent small compact grill for seniors. We are both in our 70's and live if Florida. This grill is easy to use and easy to move in the case of a hurricane. Definately a nice small grill!

Day 1 I opened the box just enough to get out the owner's manual to double check whether a 20# tank could be used with this grill, using the #6501 adapter. No mention of any tanks except the 1# tank. I had to reach out via email, contact us, to get an answer. I will say that Weber was fast to respond. And their answer was yes, this grill can use 20# tanks with an adapter. Day 2 I just unpacked the grill, trying to follow the assembly instructions in the booklet previously mentioned, and not all of the parts required to get the grill standing were in the box. Turns out that you have to manually lift the grill just enough to get the lid open and there were the additional parts needed to get the grill standing, cotter pins, wheel hubs, etc. I am astonished that Weber doesn't have better assembly instructions or that they pack the grill with accessible parts in the box, not under the grill cover. I'm able to lift the grill to get them out, but what about older folks, or those that may not be able to lift the grill, who do not have sufficient strength? It's just poorly done.

I bought this last month and I the BBQ part itself is great, but the stand is terrible. I should have listened to all the reviews I found online saying the stand was very finnicky. I have followed all the instructions and even found extra tips/videos to watch online, and still can only get the stand to lock in upright position or collapse properly about 10% of the time. Which basically makes it impossible to take it anywhere because I never know if I will be able to collapse the stand to get it back in my car. Kind of defeats the purpose. I emailed weber support and they just reiterated the instructions from the manual (even though I already said I read them/watched the online videos etc). There are reviews all over the internet say this is a common faulty problem with the stand, so I was expecting a more helpful response that acknowledged and offered to remedy the known problem with unit. Especially for the cost, definitely would not recommend if you actually want to use the stand /portable function.

We have had this BBQ for 2-3 years. it is a natural gas bbq. We use it all the time, but have just noticed that the paint on the inside is flaking off, its everywhere....not impressed.....
