Eight facets mean eight small paintings. Legend of Asia has each side of this porcelain planter brushed freehand with flowering branches and perched birds, and because the bird motif is drawn rather than transferred, wing lines and blossoms differ from panel to panel. The blue white cobalt runs crisp from rim to foot. Fired at high temperature in southern China, the ceramic planter is dense, watertight and frost resistant, so it serves as an indoor planter for an orchid or fern and moves outdoors when the season allows. It takes a mid size root ball directly, or works as a cachepot over a nursery plant pot. Use the flower pot with greenery, or fill the accent planter with stems as chinoiserie decor; a welcoming gift for gardeners and fans of asian decor.
