First off, this is a great looking pendant light. That's real frosted glass, and the frame is fairly thick metal painted outside and inside. It has some nice details, like the screws on the bottom that hold the access panel have a rubber gasket attached, and the glass on that panel also has silicon spacers under mounting clips. The side glass panels are attached inside with what looks like a silicone sealant. The cord is plenty long, I ended up trimming off about a foot and a half for my install. There are two reasons I docked it one star. First, the only thing holding this light up is the electrical cord. I sort of expected there would be a steel line inside the cord for extra support, but there is not. I didn't weigh the light, I'd guess it's in the area of about 15lbs., but it is definitely a little heavier than the light I replaced which had a chain for support. In a covered entryway shielded from the wind it's probably fine. Second, there is no provision for mounting a motion sensor. If you want a motion sensor then you'll need to hook it up away from the light, or do what I did and drill a second hole in the mounting cover. A large nationwide home improvement retailer sells a motion sensor which is almost the same color as this light. Check out the photo to see how I attached mine. Overall I'm very happy with this light, it looks teriffic. If it's your style I recommend it.

It has the contemporary look I wanted. It spins in the wind. I’m not sure how to secure the cord to stop this

This fixture looks great. We have yet to install it, but it arrived on time and well packaged. The oil rubbed bronze finish looks almost matte black- as I hoped it would.
