WARNING: Do NOT buy this lamp!!! I bought this lamp 7 months ago and spent almost $700 at that time. The base of lamp is gold foil, not metal, which was not mentioned in the description. About 2 weeks ago, the foil started to peel. And the other day, I noticed that the coral coating is also cracked. I reached out to customer service and was informed today that there is NO warranty on this product, and Perigold would not be providing me a replacement for a clearly defective product. Obnoxious and frustrating. The lamp itself is pretty, exactly as described, and arrived on time. However, it must be missing a part because the glass fits so loosely in the neck that it is bound to fall out. Instead of providing installation instructions, all you get is a slick marketing card with a QR code to retrieve the installation instructions. To receive the instructions, you have to enter your name and email....only to be directed to more marketing and zero installation instructions. Now I have to take the time to call the company and suffer through more marketing crud just to find out whether the lamp is poorly made or if a part is missing. I do not recommend this lamp. Damask, a luxurious fabric, traces its origins to ancient China and gained prominence through its association with Damascus, Syria, a hub for silk trading and weaving during the Middle Ages. Renowned for its intricate patterns woven into the fabric itself, rather than printed, damask embodies elegance and timeless craftsmanship. The original damask from which we drew inspiration is found in the Colonial Williamsburg archives.
