Tread, Vistosi’s collection of lamps with a vintage soul and industrial style, is enriched with a new diffuser for the suspended version, again designed by the creative duo Chiaramonte & Marin. If the previous diffuser was reminiscent of an old oil lamp, taking us back to the Sixties, the new one does not lose its vintage inspiration, but is transformed and changes style: the blown glass with its characteristic lateral grooves, from which the name of the collection itself derives (from the English word thread), disappears and makes way for a smooth glass, with a decidedly larger diameter and whose shape recalls that of a suction cup. A new solution that makes it possible to illuminate small living areas even with just one element, containing costs, but without giving up a precious glass and a design element, able to characterise and enhance the environment in which it is inserted. Whatever the colour of the glass, the colour of the light does not change because the base of the diffuser is open; the different shades only influence the intensity of the illumination, making it more or less warm.

Circular or oval, and in 2 combinations of colors, they give a space great dynamism. Its soft texture achieved through polyethylene fibers allows for outdoor use, it also being resistant to UV rays.

This lamp is pretty. I like the most that it does not need to be plugged in. I wish the light was more disbursed and not so bright on the top and bottom. The shadow from the facets are very pretty. Obnoxious and frustrating. The lamp itself is pretty, exactly as described, and arrived on time. However, it must be missing a part because the glass fits so loosely in the neck that it is bound to fall out. Instead of providing installation instructions, all you get is a slick marketing card with a QR code to retrieve the installation instructions. To receive the instructions, you have to enter your name and email....only to be directed to more marketing and zero installation instructions. Now I have to take the time to call the company and suffer through more marketing crud just to find out whether the lamp is poorly made or if a part is missing. I do not recommend this lamp. The Puppet collection by Vistosi expresses passion and artisan know-how. The undisputed protagonist is blown glass, irregularly striped, an ancient manufacturing technique, known since the Romans and then also used for the processing of Murano glass. Here, from the breath of master glassmakers, new, magical shapes come to life. For Puppet, the Romani Saccani Architetti Associati studio, already designer of the Diadema collection, chose the sphere, a symbol of perfection and union, a movement that has no beginning or end, and therefore immutable over time, just like the Puppet collection, which since its conception has become an icon of the Vistosi catalogue. Moreover, the expressive research of Romani Saccani Architetti Associati is aimed at defining a strong, identifying, but conceptually simple, and therefore easily understandable sign. The result is a collection with a pure, immediate design, free of unnecessary frills. Puppet is available as a pendant lamp, wall lamp and table lamp. The suspension version includes spheres of three different sizes, and is available in different variants such as linear versions, those with a round rosette or in the chandelier. The latter allows you to fix the diffusers to the ceiling with steel cables as desired, creating ever-changing games with the fabric electric cables that recall the strings that moved ancient puppets. The diffusers are available in four glass finishes (shaded white, transparent crystal, transparent smoke, transparent amber) with the possibility of mixing them together. The metal frame can be in polished chrome finish with gray fabric electrical cable or matt black with black fabric electrical cable. The Puppet Ring collection, born in 2019, plays with spheres of different sizes, differentiating itself from the “classic” version by using a frame composed of rings of different sizes, single or combined, which form the base on which the precious glass spheres rest, which blend with the structure thanks to a pre-forming inside the blown glass. In addition to the three existing suspensions, three new configurations are added which, due to their large dimensions, are particularly suitable for large spaces. In the wall light, a ring supports a larger sphere, oriented towards the ceiling, and a smaller one facing the floor. Light and elegant, Puppet Ring ethereally combines crystal, smoked, amber and shaded white glass with gold and satin black nickel finishes.

The three sinuous shapes of Riflesso, which are reminiscent of soap bubbles and make lightness and transparency their hallmark, now feature a dual light source. The LED is positioned at the top, where the gold or satin-finished copper structure joins the glass, and at the bottom, at the end of the second structure. Whatever the colour (crystal, pink, amber or smoked), the glass is almost invisible and becomes a simple tool for propagating light. This result is possible thanks to the experience of Vistosi’s master glassmakers who, with skill and craftsmanship, make this precious raw material visible only through the reflection of light, enhancing the concept of simplicity and lightness from which the collection’s concept originates. In Riflesso, therefore, glass becomes light, functionality merges with design, and the ultimate purpose of a lamp is never lost sight of: to illuminate, but at the same time to furnish the environment harmoniously. Hence the careful study of dimensions, which allow Riflesso to adapt to different needs, spaces and contexts, from homes to offices. The double LED source and the greater light diffusion allow the lamp to be used individually even in more spacious environments.
