Astro’s new Fuse reading light performs its task effectively, while making a subtle statement within an overall interior design concept. The discreet cylinder which houses the LED is usable right or left handed. It can be orientated in the desired direction in a smooth, gently-resistant operation, thanks to a neat, virtually invisible component. Fuse can be mounted horizontally or vertically in masonry and stud walls or a bedhead.

The Lane showcases a schoolhouse-inspired shade that delivers a retro yet modern look. An antique brass steel frame contrasts the taupe steel shade. The shade pivots allow the choice of light direction. Damp-rated, although limited covered outdoor areas may affect the finish.

Just got it up and started using it, but it is great so far. Nice and bright. We like the style of it, and that we have two separate lights on one fixture. When I saw the charging port I thought this was a battery operated fixture. It is not; it is hard wired, with a bonus port for charging your devices. Occasionally light distribution is allowed due to rotatable structure of each shade. Upside or downward, let your imagination run loose and allow the fun to begin.

One of the very few lights I could find with the on/off on the fixture. The light will dim to a lower setting by holding the button, and will alternate between a last used setting you dimmed to. Head also rotates all the way around so it can be turned upward, down, or to either side, but won’t hinge in a way to change the angle for what it’s worth. Last to note, it seems to have the faintest glow when it’s off but it’s not bright even in a very dark room (which I’m not sure if it could be the power voltage that’s supplied to it or something else).
