Meyda Co-Founder Meyer Cohen created this lighting design on the front porch of his summer studio in Old Forge in Upstate New York. The Meyer Lantern was designed with a Honey art glass roof and bottom; with a cornucopia of Blues; Greens; Yellows; and Reds. Today the pendant can be seen adorning camps and vacation homes throughout the Adirondack Mountains. The shade is created using the famous Meyda Tiffany copperfoil construction technique and complemented with a Mahogany Bronze finish. The overall height ranges from 17 to 53 inches; as the chain length can be easily adjusted in the field. The Meyer Lantern Mini Pendant is included in our American-made handcrafted Meyer Lantern Collection. UL and cUL listed for dry and damp locations.

Based on previous comments and even a photo from manufacturer, I was nervous that the pendant wouldn’t live up to its “cornflower blue” description. FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colors recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridescently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering a greater concentration of light.

Well the lovely pendant lamp for the front porch arrived, and now my electrician can dispense with the tacky monstrosity that has been there for way too long and put my new beautiful Perigold light up in its place. I’m so excited. Looks like real Tiffany, only without the anxiety. New lamps make everything better! My life will feel complete (at least for a few minutes) and my electricians will be so happy that this new light doesn’t weigh much more than five pounds. Taking down the monstrosity will be the worst part of the job, and then it will be smooth sailing all the way! Wish I had many many more beautiful flowery words for this amazing experience, but this time I think I’ll let simplicity and taste speak for themselves, because when all is said and done, they usually do.. All of the product’s photos make the stained glass bowl look yellow, but it’s actually more like white. MARUJA, THE DO-IT-YOURSELF LAMP. An original self-assembly pendant, Maruja was designed by the fresh-faced Gazpacho Studio—it is LZF’s first flat-pack fixture. A contemporary lamp, Maruja’s design is simultaneously unfussy and decorative. Maruja is a name whose origins lie in Galicia, and signifies both femininity and strength. The do-it-yourself Maruja is packaged with all the components needed to assemble the lamp: wood veneer strips (in several sizes), a circular frame, and pins. Maruja is easily constructed, without the need for any tools or adhesives. Using a pin, each wooden strip is clipped onto the circular frame—insert a light bulb, and you will have created an elegant, handmade lamp. The wood veneer strips hang and move freely, and when illuminated, Maruja sparkles with life.
