Industrial Lifetime Wall Sconces

The iconic Corona collection has a new entry. Handcrafted curved steel forms a cradle for the clear/frosted glass diffusers. The light is softly reflected off the steel to create a glow similar to the first rays of the morning sun inching over the green mountains of its origin. The two-tone appearance of the forged steel is a result of the warm glow from the halogen bulbs when lit. All Hubbardton Forge products are hand-crafted to last one at a time in Vermont.

The Pangea Collection includes lighting pendants, lamps, and this wonderful Pangea Sconce. In keeping with the collection’s fusion of nature-inspired design and brutalist aesthetics, Designer David Martin explains "the Pangea sconce utilizes a single forged plate as the reflector which casts dramatic shadows from the single glass-enclosed light source" consisting of a frosted light within a clear glass shade.

Is this a sculpture or is it light? Ask our sculptor-turned-designer Paul Marr Hilliard and he'll quickly tell you there's no need to choose. This stunning sculptural wall sconce is a testament to the artisans at the Forge. Each piece of metal is heated in the fires at over 1800ºF, then carefully shaped while red-hot. The steel's texture is visible through the finish, giving it the handcrafted stamp of the Zen's makers.

Softly illuminating a fine work or as a work of art in its own right, our Gallery Sconce is available with different glass colors that change the light glowing. Hand-forged and formed by our artisans.

A Cavaletti is the support and bar horses jump during competition. But you don't have to like horses to love this wall sconce. Each piece is created from steel square bar stock heated in our forge and skillfully drawn out to a taper before the pieces are interlocked. Paying homage to the history of their craft, the modern blacksmiths here at our Vermont forge, wrest form from steel. There's something nearly primal about the design of our Beacon Hall wall sconce. The 2021 Libra collection includes the Libra LED sconce that lends a perfect bit of industrial flair to suit a variety of spaces. The fluted glass tube is hung by low-voltage cables on either end allowing the end user to set it at a wide range of heights, whether it is placed over a mirror and bathroom vanity or in a theater room. Hand-hammered steel bars barely brush against each other to unify the elements of this wall sconce. Simple rectangular glasses counterbalance each other on either side of the steel center. Forged and formed here in Vermont, each piece is unique.
