Because doing stuff in the dark can be hard. It's a lamp! No, it won't answer to the adorable pet name you give it or have witty replies to your inane requests (don't worry Alexa, you have job security) but it will fill your room with functional light and deliver it via a thoughtfully proportioned powder-coated steel design.
