It's a lovely lamp, rather bold for me, but I like it.
Please look at the photograph and tell me what we can do about the long blemish that runs across part of the base of the lamp.
It's quite dark against the gold and catches the eye from certain angles. It's so annoying because it screams that there was either no inspection in China or that the inspector consciously decided to let it go and hope I'd decide it was too much trouble to return. I'm not blaming Perigold, but it has to live or die on customer satisfaction and incidents like this don't encourage online shopping.
Likely the original paint is in China. I wonder if you can get me that or a close match. I'd be quite satisfied with a good enough color and texture match to fool the eye, because the remainder of the entire surface is fine. I'm also a little concerned about possible rust or corrosion on the exposed metal over time. Please give me a reason not to return it, because I don't want to.
Thanks,
