We received our Forma lamp 2 days ago. It is beautiful and looks so nice in our living room. It arrived beautifully packaged and protected. Everything required for assembly was included and even extras. We love the dimming ability as well. I searched many lamps and even returned a different lamp prior to finding this one. Menu launches the Hashira collection, a modern, Nordic take on the traditional Japanese rice paper lantern. Love the lamp! Something weird happened though and the light would go off after about a minute. Your Customer Service representative, Robert, was so nice and replaced it immediately. In the instructions it says that the lamp can't be recharged and when it stops working to simply throw it away. I've never heard anything like that and bet you haven't either. Solid walnut, raw brushed aluminum, and a molded concrete head - honest and clean. The structural connection between metal and wood was the inspiration here, where the fixtures substance is only strengthened by gravity. The tri-leg base finds stability on uneven surfaces and allows the cord to exit discreetly and effectively. It feels signature and iconic while still keeping a clean and timeless modern aesthetic.

Glassmaking is an ancient art that tells of centuries-old knowledge, handed down from generation to generation by the love and passion of expert craftsmen who carefully hold a tradition of excellence. True icons of timeless beauty are born when know-how and craftsmanship meet design, to form a perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation. This is the case of the Giogali and Minigiogali collections designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1967 for Vistosi, the lighting brand that has brought glass to perfection. The Giogali lamp (Compasso d’Oro mention in 1969) introduced a new concept in the use of glass: a modular lighting system based on a single hand-crafted crystal element (a type of hook) that can be repeated indefinitely to give life to structures that appear like cascades of light. The hook is the basic module that constitutes the entire architecture of the Giogali system (name that derives from the Venetian “giongher”, or the strap used in the countryside to tie the cart to the yoke), Mangiarotti’s modern interpretation of the Venetian chandelier. Long-term research based on the innovation of traditional shapes generated the hook, which thus becomes the constructive element of the chandelier itself. The basic element can be hooked in a series to form crystal chains, which in turn can be combined to create unlimited formal designs, such as chandeliers of any size that become scenographic backdrop of rooms. Following a restyling of the product, Vistosi introduced the Giogali 3D version in 2005: a new type of hook in glass that allows it to be paired to rings in all four directions, so as to form a continuous mesh that allows great installation flexibility.

In a flourish of formal serenity and functional efficacy, Miguel Milá cleverly separated the three basic components of any lamp: the structure, the electrical parts and the shade. The light source rotates around the shaft and can be raised or lowered like a flag on a mast.

Trípode humanises neutral spaces with its colourful and functional sobriety. Each one of its shade options is hand ribboned: The natural, red-amber and black; the raw color terracotta, green and mustard, as well as the Diplomática and Bretona stiped shades by Júlia Esqué. Switched on, it provides a characteristic, warm light, rich in nuances. Switched off, it is a small volumetric sculpture that invites immediate use.

It creates ambiance while being highly practical for anyone nearby. "I always keep in mind the space where a lamp will be placed because that is where it has meaning," explains Christophe. The range of Malamata lights (named to recall the designer's Israeli roots, drawing on the Hebrew meaning of 'up and down') is characterized by the possibility of a variety of diffuser positions. The light can be adjusted thanks to a sphere counterweight. Pushing the button on top of the sphere, a spring is released and the counterweight is free to slide on the steam, allowing to change the diffuser position up and down.
