The 1st Baron Bourchier was born several hundred years too late to enjoy hanging NUT throughout his shadowy castle. Which is a pity, because the granny knot on which NUT is based sat proudly on the heraldic badge of the Bourchier family. We however are fortunate to live in an era when NUT can adorn our own little castles; a powerful symbol of our exquisite breeding. FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colors recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridescently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering a greater concentration of light.

James Bartlett was inspired by the forms of ancient columns and pillars, particularly those of the ancient Greek order of architecture. The traditional forms have been subverted so that the classical scalloped details of the structure instead encircle the interior of the shade. This detail can therefore only be seen from certain angles, particularly beautiful when viewed from below, revealing a form that is not unlike the crimped edge of a seashell. The beautiful marbled material is actually produced from resin, giving the appearance of a heavy, solid form, that is, in fact, lightweight and translucent, allowing for a great variety of sizes and finishes. An elegant smooth marble look is complimented by quality fittings, to give a contemporary and stylish finish.

Venice 200 is a hanging luminaire designed by Adolfo Abejón, modern, adaptable and minimalist. 3 - Light Single Drum Pendant. The Sisters are characterized by refined and nuanced painterly color relationships. These lamps have been prepared in the manner of traditional paintings, in other words, a canvas painted with color nuances and brush strokes. While these brush strokes are masterly and give the painting on each lamp its individual character, the lamps are entirely handmade. The texture of The Sister's cloth and colors generates a warm and cozy mood, accenting the finish of the cloth and brush strokes. To make an individual lamp, veneer lengths are crafted in a traditional sewing fashion: the pattern is marked out, cut, and then repeated. Where hemming is normally used to complete a garment, the Stitches lamp has a visible hemstitch through which light radiates. The unique shape of each lamp is an allusion to the adobe mosques found across Mali. Moreover, the Stitches lamps embody Mali’s long history as a producer of embroidery.

The suspension lamp is created by the union of small Oscas, giving it a dramatic sculptural appearance of light and shadow.
