The 1st Baron Bourchier was born several hundred years too late to enjoy hanging NUT throughout his shadowy castle. Which is a pity, because the granny knot on which NUT is based sat proudly on the heraldic badge of the Bourchier family. We however are fortunate to live in an era when NUT can adorn our own little castles; a powerful symbol of our exquisite breeding. We can thank the brilliant Marivi Calvo and Ray Power for their valor and insight. Long may they reign supreme.

In 2013 Ray Power created LINK. And so the story of infinite geometry continues through the magic of light.

James Bartlett was inspired by the forms of ancient columns and pillars, particularly those of the ancient Greek order of architecture. The traditional forms have been subverted so that the classical scalloped details of the structure instead encircle the interior of the shade. This detail can therefore only be seen from certain angles, particularly beautiful when viewed from below, revealing a form that is not unlike the crimped edge of a seashell. The beautiful marbled material is actually produced from resin, giving the appearance of a heavy, solid form, that is, in fact, lightweight and translucent, allowing for a great variety of sizes and finishes. An elegant smooth marble look is complimented by quality fittings, to give a contemporary and stylish finish.

In Estela, the light cascades through wood veneer encapsulated in borosilicate glass - the glass is hand-blown by master artisan Eduard Garuti. In the Osca suspension lamp, simple, interlocking three-dimensional wood veneer arches face both upwards and downwards, giving the lamp a uniquely sculptural form. Designed by Bodo Sperlein, Osca is a minimal collage of shapes. The Osca family consists of two suspension versions and one table lamp. The small suspension lamp is formed by four cubes and a square geometry.

Gea’s circular structure showcases the clean lines of thoughtful design: a lamp that is decorative, unobtrusive, and timeless. Gea’s classic form is ideally suited to a range of environments, both commercial and residential. Gea Suspension is available in three sizes: Small, Large, and Slim.
