The Plura is a simple, straightforward fixture that is excellently executed. With the Plura it was about resolving the seams and edges and their relationships to one another. The result is a scale-able fixture that has a sharp, sophisticated feel.
The LU pendant is all about two contrasting forms and their interaction with each other. The bold vertical element appears to float through a thin circular light source. The combination of these two distinctive shapes results in an appealing design that is perfectly balanced. Modest in a formal setting and playful in a more vibrant environment. Inspired by Scandinavian lighting and the love for pure readable lines LU was created. Named after the French word for light ‘lumière’.
