Made by a group of elderly women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand, the table lamp is a lovely oversized white lamp shaped like an artichoke. Each leaf, or bract as they are called with the real plant, is made of ceramic and affixed by hand, shaping a painstaking process in order to mimic the lamp's edible namesake. The body of the is then finished in a soft antique white.

A work of art in its own right, our Gallery table lamp exhibits three twists of forged steel that flow from pedestal to shade, wrapping around the lamp tube along the way. A on-off switch graces the teardrop shaped base directly behind the glass. Crafted by the metal virtuosos at Hubbardton Forge in Vermont, each piece is unique.

Obnoxious and frustrating. The lamp itself is pretty, exactly as described, and arrived on time. However, it must be missing a part because the glass fits so loosely in the neck that it is bound to fall out. Instead of providing installation instructions, all you get is a slick marketing card with a QR code to retrieve the installation instructions. To receive the instructions, you have to enter your name and email....only to be directed to more marketing and zero installation instructions. Now I have to take the time to call the company and suffer through more marketing crud just to find out whether the lamp is poorly made or if a part is missing. I do not recommend this lamp.
