Underneath, a slim iron stem carries a small disc, and the canister rests open-side up on it, a straight vertical line that stays out of the way flanking a bathroom mirror or a headboard. Set low on a dimmer after dark, it gives a vanity or a bedside wall something gentler than an overhead fixture ever manages.
