Exactly what I hoped it would be! This chandelier works perfectly over our dining room table. It is a substantial piece but not heavy looking and reflects the light beautifully. It is also very nicely made and well-finished. I had an electrician with a helper do the installation, a two man job due to the weight of the fixture, but put the glass tubes in myself which was an easy but slightly time consuming job. Tom Caldwell undertook the challenge of creating a clean-lined version of a vintage design when he meticulously conceived the magnum opus large chandelier. The rows of glass leaves attached to the three-tier metal stem effervesce when light strikes them to create a stunning sculptural fixture. The white glass also beautifully contrasts the metal in a brass finish, the cool/warm contrast bringing the gold chandelier a heightened level of texture. The beautiful white glass leaves also surround the seven bulbs on this fixture to infuse a space with a lovely glow.

Each chandelier is hand-made with varying lengths of stripped leather, creating layers of movement and texture. The ambient light from within the fixture emerges into the room in a soft glow. Not suitable for outdoor use.

The Wood Disc Chandelier is crafted from sustainably-sourced Jacaranda wood that has been cut and shaped by hand. Both the wood and the glass have been recycled (Jacaranda is an invasive species that is cut and burned; the glass discs were Coke bottles in a prior life). Over 20 plates of uniquely shaped seeded glass are formed to make each chandelier. The unsealed edges are perfectly undone, pairing well with the textural glass and exposed antique brass hardware.
