The Brigadier floor lamp is a study in texture. Made of cast aluminum, the body of the lamp has a pitted surface achieved through a hand-hammering technique. Adding even greater interest is a layering of antique brass, black, and whitewash finishes on the stippled surface. And resembled copper which was appealing. In person there is a rainbow iridescence to it but subtle. It’s a mix of copper or bronze that just pulls room together. This lamp is weighty. Inspired by the Putney lamp, we created a large-scale version. From each direction, its silhouette reveals three stacked rounded forms—a cylinder, a disc, and an elongated tapered coin base. Showcasing angular composition and balance, it has a mid-century feel with an updated take on the style via its cast aluminum. It is topped with an off-white linen shade with off-white cotton lining, and features a clear silver cord and three-way rotary switch. The finish will vary.
