I was very disappointed with the Lamp. The bulb is completely exposed at one end leaving a very glaring light. In addition, the weight of the lamp is such that it does not maintain a horizontal position if slightly bumped. Lastly, if seated for reading, the light seems very bright. It is a great idea - it just doesn't work. Very disappointed

I love this floor lamp and it is exactly what I was looking for! My only complaint is that the end of the light is open to the bulb. When the light is placed next to the sofa, if you have chairs next to the sofa (in an "L" shape), the bright light shines right into the face of anyone sitting in the chair. The light should have included an end cap of frosted glass. I am still trying to decide if this is a deal breaker.

Absolutely beautiful, however the first review was correct. There is no buffer from the light bulb. I would return, however already assembled. It is basically unusable as a reading/task light.
