The lamp is beautiful. It’s solid brass and has a lovely finish. I was very disappointed with the shade that accompanies the lamp as it is an extremely cheap paper shade and does nothing for the lamp. I had to spend more money to purchase a silk shade that does the lamp justice. Visual Comfort and Perigold should be ashamed to sell such a pricey lamp with such a cheap shade.
