I bought the larger ones for our other home. I knew it would be gorgeous in this home for a guest bathroom renovation.

While the unit is beautiful and charming as one could hope, there were a few hangups I can't ignore for a lighting fixture costing around seven hundred dollars. Number one-- it is HEAVY. It's listed around sites like this one at 7-8 pounds, but it's *absolutely* more in the 10+ pound range, and it feels it. Installing it with two people was rough; holding a precarious 10+ pound light over my head while the tiny, tiny wires had to be feathered in just right. Not easy. That ordeal was made worse by the fact that it's basically held up by two- only two- tiny screws. Cheap screws. Made-in-China cheap screws. And, maddeningly, one of them SHEARED in HALF while I was tightening a tiny metal finial around it, cutting the screw down to a nub and filling the finial up with junked screw metal, rendering it useless. I had to rush off to a supply store to buy a set of nuts in hopes that one would fit. Thankfully it did... for now, until it crashes down from poor quality craftsmanship. So, is it an undeniably gorgeous little light fixture? No question. Is it worth around seven-hundred bucks? That you might want to question.
