This lamp looks amazing but is absolute trash. I bought two of these lamps for my bed side tables and the pulley mechanism on this lamp which gives it charm has completely come out of the socket and is broken. It has been less than four months! We really wanted this lamp to work so much that my husband and I spent over an hour disassembling the lamp to try to fix the broken pulley system that turns the lamp on and off. We were able to get the chain to hook back onto the interior latch but after we reassembled the lamp, it immediately disconnected again. The functionality of this lamp is non-existent. Even before the chain broke, it is designed in a way so that it is nearly impossible to attach the gold pointed piece on the top of the lamp shade. There is a washer between the light bulb and the top gold piece that holds the top piece in place. However, if the light bulb is in there, then you have no space to attach the washer. If you put the washer and top piece in first, then you don't have enough space to screw in your light bulb. So you end up having to have a slightly loose lamp shade in order to make sure there's a few millimeters of space to make it all fit. Skip this piece, it's not worth the frustration.
